Configuring supported languages
Frill supports multiple languages for your workspace interface, allowing you to serve international users in their preferred language. You can enable language auto-detection or let users manually select their language.
Select a language to configure
Go to Settings (click your profile avatar in the top-right)
Click Languages
Choose a language from the dropdown menu
Each language you select can be customized independently with your own terminology and translations.
How users see different languages
Frill can automatically detect a user's browser language and display the interface accordingly. Users can also manually switch languages if you've configured multiple options.
To preview how a specific language appears, add ?lang=xx to your workspace URL, where xx is the language code (e.g., ?lang=en for English).
Customize each language
After selecting a language, you can customize all interface labels, button text, and field names to match how you want that language to appear. This works the same way for all supported languages—you're not limited to pre-set translations.
Each language maintains separate customizations, so you can use different terminology for "Ideas" in English versus your Spanish workspace, for example.
Users will see the language that matches their browser settings, or they can manually select from the languages you've configured.
