Team member roles and permissions

Frill offers five team member roles, each with different permissions. Choose the right role based on what each team member needs to do in your workspace.

Admin

Full access to everything in your workspace, including billing and sensitive settings.

Can do:

• Manage all ideas, roadmaps, announcements, and surveys

• Invite and remove team members

• Change workspace settings and billing

• View private ideas and user information

• Manage integrations and widgets

• Vote and submit ideas on behalf of users

Moderator

Manages content and user interactions without access to billing or company settings.

Can do:

• Manage all ideas, roadmaps, announcements, and surveys

• View private ideas and user information

• Approve, reject, and moderate ideas and comments

• Vote and submit ideas on behalf of users

Cannot do:

• Access billing or company settings

• Invite or remove team members

• Manage integrations or SSO

Idea Submitter

Creates ideas and votes on behalf of users, with view access to private content.

Can do:

• Vote and submit ideas on behalf of users

• View private ideas and user information

• Add comments to ideas

Cannot do:

• Change idea statuses or settings

• Manage roadmaps or announcements

• Access company settings or integrations

Viewer

Read-only access to private content, useful for stakeholders who need visibility without editing.

Can do:

• View all ideas, including private ones

• View user information and analytics

Cannot do:

• Edit or create any content

• Vote or submit ideas

• Access settings or integrations

Read-only

View-only access limited to public content.

Can do:

• View public ideas and roadmaps

• View public announcements

Cannot do:

• View private ideas or user information

• Edit or create any content

• Access settings or integrations
