Managing announcement comments and reactions
Control whether users can comment on and react to your announcements. These settings help you manage engagement and keep discussions on-topic.
Enabling or disabling comments
To control comments on announcements:
Find the announcement comments settings
Toggle comments on or off
Save your changes
When comments are enabled, users can leave feedback and questions on announcements. When disabled, the comment section won't appear.
Enabling or disabling reactions
To control emoji reactions on announcements:
Find the announcement reactions setting
Toggle reactions on or off
Save your changes
When reactions are disabled, users won't see the reaction button on any announcements.
When to disable comments
Consider disabling comments if:
You prefer feedback to go through your support channels
Announcements are informational only and don't need discussion
You want to reduce moderation workload
When to disable reactions
Disable reactions if:
You're making sensitive announcements (layoffs, pricing changes)
You don't find reaction data useful for your process
You want a more formal, less casual changelog
Even with comments disabled, you can still link announcements to your feedback board where users can leave structured feedback on features.
