Understanding priority scores
Priority scores help you evaluate ideas based on strategic factors like customer benefit, implementation cost, and business value—not just vote counts.
How priority scores are calculated
Each score is a weighted sum of the factors you configure (like benefits and costs). Frill multiplies each factor's value by its weight, then adds them together.
If you enable score normalization in settings, all scores are scaled to a 0-100 range for easier comparison.
Where scores appear
Priority scores display on idea cards as color-coded tags showing both the numeric score and the quadrant label (e.g., "Quick Wins (85)").
Scores only appear if you've set at least one factor value for the idea and enabled "Show priority score" in your prioritization settings.
Making scores visible to customers
By default, priority scores are internal. Enable "Make priority scores public" in settings to show them on your public boards and roadmaps.
Combine priority scores with vote counts to balance popular demand with strategic value. An idea with moderate votes but high strategic benefit might deserve higher priority than a highly voted quick fix.
