Setting up Zapier automations
Connect Zapier to automate Frill workflows with thousands of apps. Trigger actions when ideas are created, updated, voted on, or when their status changes.
You'll need admin permissions in Frill and a Zapier account. Frill is available on Zapier for all plans.
Connect Zapier
Go to Settings > Integrations in your Frill dashboard
Find Zapier and copy your secret key
In Zapier, create a new Zap and search for Frill
When prompted, paste your Frill secret key to authenticate
Available triggers
Frill offers several triggers to start your automations:
New Idea — Fires when an idea is created
Idea Updated — Fires when an idea's details change
Idea Status Changed — Fires when an idea moves to a new status (e.g., Planned, In Progress, Complete)
New Vote — Fires when someone votes on an idea
New Comment — Fires when a comment is added to an idea
Example automations
Post new ideas to Slack, add high-voted ideas to Google Sheets, create Asana tasks when ideas reach "Planned" status, or send notifications to your team when customers comment on priority ideas.
Keep your Zapier secret key private. If it's compromised, you can regenerate it from the Frill integrations page.
