Widget analytics
Frill tracks how users interact with your widgets, giving you insight into engagement and usage patterns. Analytics help you understand which widgets perform best and where users engage most.
Viewing widget analytics
From your Widgets dashboard, each widget card displays key metrics:
Widget views — Total number of times the widget has been displayed
Section views — Views for specific parts like "Idea page views" or "Roadmap views"
Last updated — When the widget was last modified
These metrics update in real-time as users interact with your widgets.
Understanding widget views
A widget view counts each time a user sees the widget on your site. This includes:
Opening a floating launcher or tab
Loading a page with an embedded widget
Triggering a widget programmatically
Views help you measure reach and understand how often users access your feedback tools.
Section-level analytics
For widgets with multiple sections (Ideas, Roadmap, Announcements), you can see which parts get the most attention. Section metrics include:
Idea page views
Roadmap page views
Announcement views
Use these to identify which content resonates most with your audience.
Announcement-specific analytics
Announcements have dedicated analytics beyond widget views. To access detailed announcement metrics, see Viewing announcement analytics.
