Understanding notification types in Frill
Frill sends email notifications to keep you updated on activity across your ideas, comments, and company. Here's a complete reference of all notification types you can receive.
All emails can be edited or turned on/off in your settings here.
User notifications
These notifications keep you informed about ideas and conversations you're involved in:
Weekly Digest — A summary of activity across all ideas
When someone votes on your idea — Notifies you when your submitted idea receives a vote
When someone comments on your idea — Alerts you to new comments on ideas you created
When someone replies to your comment — Notifies you of direct replies to your comments
When someone mentions you in a comment — Alerts you when someone @mentions you
When an idea's status changes — Updates you on status changes for ideas you're following
When an idea's wording changes — Notifies you of edits to idea titles or descriptions
When your idea is approved — Confirms when your submitted idea is published
When your idea is rejected — Notifies you if your idea isn't approved
When your account is approved — Confirms your account activation (if approval required)
When a new announcement is published — Alerts you to new product announcements
Admin notifications
If you're an admin, you'll also receive notifications for moderation and oversight:
Daily Admin Digest — A summary of activity requiring your attention
When an admin adds an idea on your behalf — Confirms ideas created for you by admins
When an admin votes on an idea on your behalf — Notifies you of votes cast for you by admins
When a new idea is submitted for approval — Alerts you to ideas awaiting moderation
When a new comment is submitted for approval — Notifies you of comments awaiting approval
When a new user requires approval — Alerts you to pending user accounts
When someone mentions you in a private note — Notifies you of @mentions in admin-only notes
You can toggle any of these notifications on or off in your email settings.
