Creating a survey
Surveys help you gather structured feedback from users through NPS, CSAT, polls, and custom questions. You can create unlimited surveys depending on your plan tier.
Your plan limits how many active surveys you can have. Free and Starter plans include 0-3 surveys. Upgrade to Business or higher for more survey capacity.
Prerequisite: Surveys require the Frill Script to be installed on your site or app. If you haven't installed it yet, see Installing the Frill Script before creating your first survey.
Creating your first survey
To create a survey:
Navigate to Surveys in your dashboard
Click the Add Survey button
Choose a template (NPS, CSAT, Open feedback, Quick poll, or Idea poll)
Customize your survey in the editor with the sidebar tabs
Click Save to save your changes
Toggle the publish switch or use the dropdown to activate your survey

The editor includes several configuration sections:
Templates — Switch between survey types
General — Set title, rating style, and feedback requirements
Trigger — Control when the survey appears
Location — Choose which pages display the survey
Frequency — Set how often users see the survey
Audience — Target specific user segments
Appearance — Customize theme, position, and colors
