Troubleshooting email delivery issues
If you're not receiving emails from Frill, check your notification settings, spam folder, and email configuration. Most delivery issues can be resolved by verifying these common causes.
Check your notification settings
Visit your notification settings and confirm that:
The specific notification type is toggled on (e.g., "When someone votes on your idea")
The company-level master toggle is enabled
The global "Disable all notifications" option is not active
If any of these are disabled, you won't receive emails.
Check your spam folder
Frill emails may be filtered to spam or junk. Search your spam folder for emails from [email protected] or [email protected]. If you find Frill emails there, mark them as "Not spam" to ensure future delivery to your inbox.
Verify your email address
Confirm that the email address in your Frill account profile is correct. If it's misspelled or outdated, update it in your account settings.
Custom email domain issues (admins)
If your company uses a custom email domain for sending Frill emails, DNS configuration issues can prevent delivery. Verify that:
DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) are correctly configured
The custom domain is verified in your company email settings
DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate. Check your domain configuration and wait before testing again.
Still not receiving emails?
If you've checked all of the above and still aren't receiving emails, contact Frill support with details about which notifications you're expecting and when you last received an email.
