Merging duplicate ideas
When users submit similar ideas, you can merge them into a single idea to consolidate votes and discussion. Merging keeps your board organized and helps you accurately gauge interest.
How to merge ideas
Open the idea you want to merge (this will be hidden)
Click the Merge option in the idea admin area
Select the target idea to merge into
Confirm the merge
The merged idea is marked as "merged into" the target and no longer appears as a separate item on the board. Votes and comments are transferred to the target idea.
After merging
The merge is logged in the activity history. Users who voted or commented on the merged idea are automatically following the target idea and receive updates.
Merges cannot be undone. Double-check you're merging into the right target idea.
Review new submissions regularly to catch duplicates early before they accumulate votes separately.
