Creating a feedback widget

Feedback widgets let users submit ideas, vote on features, and browse your feedback board without leaving your site. Here's how to create one.

You'll need the Frill Script installed on your website before your widget can appear. See Installing the Frill Script.

Steps to create a feedback widget

  1. In your Frill dashboard, navigate to Widgets

  2. Click Create Widget

  3. In the Templates section, select Ideas Widget

  4. Name your widget (up to 80 characters)

  5. Configure settings in the sidebar:

    • Home — Set the default view users see first

    • Ideas — Configure the feedback feed and submission form

    • Launcher — Choose how the widget appears (floating button, tab, etc.)

    • Appearance — Customize colors, logo, and theme

  6. Click Save to publish your widget

The widget builder shows a live preview as you make changes. You can always return to edit settings later.

What happens after saving

Your widget receives a unique key and appears in your widget list. From there, you can copy the embed code or widget key to use on your site.
